Atlas of small Mediterranean islands

-Current projects-

The Encyclopaedic Atlas of the Small Islands of the Western Mediterranean project was born in 2012, during a meeting of the members of the Research and Management Committee of the PIM Initiative, an international programme for the promotion of and assistance in the management of Mediterranean island micro-territories. The objective is to make all available knowledge on these small territories available to all, by addressing their evolution, their heritage (natural, historical, cultural, etc.) and their management in the face of the pressures exerted on them, in order to draw up a conservation strategy for island territories that will be supported by the countries of the Mediterranean basin with the support of the PIM initiative. After several years of work, reflection and multiple collaborations, this project is taking shape through this platform for the ‘Atlas’ part, aiming to promote the various files produced at different scales (sub-basin, cluster, island) for the western Mediterranean.
