PIM Initiative is an international NGO whose objective is to preserve the Mediterranean and Macaronesian islands of less than 1000 hectares, thanks to concrete conservation measures in the field, and the networking of managers and experts at the international level. Programme initiated in 2005 by the Conservatoire du littoral, PIM became an independent NGO in 2017. Its teams support all stages of the creation and development of protected island sites through an integrated approach based on five areas of intervention.
For more than 10 years, PIM Initiative has been relying on a panel of multidisciplinary experts, site managers, coast guards, institutions and NGOs from the Mediterranean basin, and now from Macaronesia.
