Members of the Scientific Council

In order to benefit from advice and guidance on the scientific, technical and management aspects of the islands, PIM Initiative has set up a multidisciplinary and international committee made up of 24 Mediterranean experts, specialists in entomology, ornithology, herpetology, the fight against invasive species, history, architecture and international law.

The Scientific Council is chaired by Prof. Frédéric Médail, of the Mediterranean Institute of Biodiversity and Ecology (IMBE), who wanted to establish a wide range of skills related to the conservation of islands and ensure that as many Mediterranean regions as possible were represented. This list was validated by the General Assembly of October 2023.
